The Past and Present of The Shoppes at Miller’s

Our History

The Shoppes at Miller’s has deep roots in Lancaster County, beginning in 1929 as Enos Miller’s truck repair shop. What started as a service station quickly transformed when Enos’s wife began serving home-cooked meals to hungry truckers. Her meals became so popular that they soon overtook the truck bays, eventually replacing the gas station and repair service entirely.

In 1963, Stuckey’s—famous for its Pecan Log—was added to the center. As the years went on, new additions reflected the growing interest in Lancaster’s handmade goods and baked treats. Miller’s Bakery joined the property in 1973 to meet rising demand for the restaurant’s popular baked goods. Then, in 1998, the former Stuckey’s space was transformed into The Quilt Shop at Miller’s, highlighting Pennsylvania Dutch craftsmanship.
